Downloads are not open yet

The installers below will be here soon. Until then, the user guide shows everything pgjumbo does, and the contact page takes your questions.

macOS

macOS 13 or newer, Apple silicon or Intel

  • Disk image (.dmg)

    Apple silicon and Intel

Install

  • Open the .dmg and drag pgjumbo to Applications.
  • Start pgjumbo from Applications or Launchpad.

The first time you open it

  • The first time, macOS says it could not verify pgjumbo. Close the message.
  • Open System Settings, then Privacy & Security, and click Open Anyway beside the note about pgjumbo. Confirm with your password. macOS remembers your choice.
  • Or run this once in Terminal, then open pgjumbo: xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/pgjumbo.app

Windows

Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit

  • Installer (.exe)

    Installs for your user

  • Windows Installer (.msi)

    For managed installs

Install

  • Run the setup .exe. It installs pgjumbo for your user, with no administrator rights needed.
  • Use the .msi instead when you install for every user or through a management tool.

The first time you open it

  • Windows SmartScreen may say it protected your PC from an unrecognised app.
  • Click More info, then Run anyway.
  • On Windows 10, the installer downloads and adds Microsoft's WebView2 runtime if it is missing. Windows 11 already has it.

Linux

64-bit, with WebKitGTK 4.1

  • AppImage

    Runs on most distributions

  • Debian and Ubuntu (.deb)

Ubuntu 22.04 or newer, Debian 12 or newer

  • Fedora (.rpm)

    Current Fedora

Install

  • Debian and Ubuntu: sudo apt install ./pgjumbo_0.0.1_amd64.deb
  • Fedora: sudo dnf install ./pgjumbo-0.0.1-1.x86_64.rpm
  • Any distribution: make the AppImage executable with chmod +x pgjumbo_0.0.1_amd64.AppImage, then run it.

What it needs

  • apt and dnf install WebKitGTK 4.1 and the other libraries pgjumbo needs.
  • The AppImage carries its own libraries, WebKitGTK among them.

Before you start

What else you may want

  • A PostgreSQL server, version 14 to 18 (12 and 13 as best effort), that you can reach. pgjumbo needs nothing else to connect.
  • For backup, restore and copying databases: PostgreSQL's client programs (pg_dump, pg_dumpall, pg_restore, psql), at least as new as your servers. Where pgjumbo looks for them.
  • For the Assistant, which is optional: Claude Code, installed and signed in. Set up the Assistant.

New to pgjumbo? Make your first connection once it is installed.
